Volcanic eruptions!
Thornton Heath was rocked by volcanic eruptions this week as the children read from Osbourne Beginners, “Volcanoes”.
Please contact the school office to organise an appointment to visit the nursery. You can pick up an application form when you visit. Our spaces fill up very quickly so it is best to complete an application form as soon as possible.

This week Ladybird class have been focusing on the story of ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ The children have listened to the story in a variety of different ways.
This week the rain did not stop the learning! At times the torrential rain left us with no choice but to watch the “jungle rain” from the protection of our sheltered area, but as soon as the downpour eased, we were in our waterproofs and outside once more.
This week some of the Ladybird class have been creating a block chart to represent their favourite colour.
This week the children of Thornton Heath Nursery have been as busy as always.
With bonfire night last weekend, it gave us the opportunity to watch some firework display footage on the interactive whiteboard and talk about the beautiful fireworks.
As a result of the announcement by the Prime Minister allowing another bank holiday for the coronation of King Charles III the term dates for Thornton Heath Nursery School have now been changed.
Many of you will be aware that during the summer term last year, our nursery took part in an exciting new programme designed to bring people together through a sculpture trail of globes that stretched across the UK.
In our first week back after half term we have had rain and sunshine…but with the right equipment we have been outside having adventures as always!
