OFSTED Reports Thornton Heath Nursery School (THNS) has been known by a number of names in the past and at one stage the building was occupied by two organisations. Thornton Heath Children’s Centre has now vacated the building and these services are now offered from other schools in the area. The care offered to our youngest children was inspected separately by Ofsted when this provision was called Thornton Heath Early Years Centre. Since September 2014 THNS has been working with the Pegasus Academy Trust. At our first Ofsted inspection in February 2015 we were judged ‘Good‘ for our two year old provision. You can see this report here. Our most recent Ofsted inspection in June 2015 was also judged as ‘Good‘ overall, with Leadership and Management judged as ‘Outstanding‘. THNS is a wonderful learning environment for your child and we invite you to come and see the provision for yourself in order to make an informed judgement as to whether this could be the right school for your child’s first steps in education. We feel sure that you will be impressed by what we have to offer your family. Our Ofsted inspection in July 2019 has confirmed that we continue to be a “Good” school. Ofsted carried out a one day inspection which confirmed that the leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection giving us a judgement of “Good” overall. Ofsted also commented that the school has demonstrated strong practice and marked improvement in specific areas which may indicate that the school has improved significantly overall. We are a popular nursery that provides the very best early years education for the children in the local community. We are always happy to show our prospective families around so that they can make an informed choice as to whether this is the right school for their child’s first experience of education.
