Our Staff
When you choose Thornton Heath Nursery School (THNS) for your child, you choose to put them into the care of an experienced team.
We have eight Early Years Educators – with a wealth of experience of how to meet the learning needs of pre-school children.
We also have 4 Teaching Assistants, a qualified lead teacher and our Head of Nursery (SENCO) on site. We have the experience and the knowledge to cater for all abilities and our families tell us how much they appreciate the good relationships they build up with their key workers.

Jenette Indarsingh
Responsibilities:
Head of Nursery, Inclusion Manager & Designated Safeguarding Lead, SENCO
I have been working in education since 1995, always working in Thornton Heath. After teaching at Beulah Infant School for a year, I became the maths leader for the school, working alongside the local education authority to promote outstanding practice in the teaching of maths across the borough. I then became the assessment leader at Beulah as well as a KS1 moderator for Croydon. In 2010 I became the Deputy Head at Beulah. I was instrumental in securing the best possible outcome for Beulah as they joined Pegasus Academy Trust in 2014 and in 2017 my leadership skills were judged to be outstanding by Ofsted. In May 2018 I gained my National Professional Qualification for Headship.
As the Head of Nursery, I am wholly committed to leading an outstanding provision for our local children and their families. I believe that THNS is a unique setting where we have high standards for our staff and children. We support every child at THNS to reach their full potential within a nurturing environment.
