Let’s get cooking!
This week Ladybird class have welcomed some new children to Thornton Heath Nursery School.
Please contact the school office to organise an appointment to visit the nursery. You can pick up an application form when you visit. Our spaces fill up very quickly so it is best to complete an application form as soon as possible.
This week Ladybird class have welcomed some new children to Thornton Heath Nursery School.
This week we celebrated Book Week. We launched the week with a book character costume day.
This week’s letter and sound of the week was s. Silly soup was being made out of all sorts of strange and stupefying ingredients; snakes, spoons, spiders and stickmen were all being added.
This week saw a very busy kitchen, with flat breads, pan cakes and bubble bread all being made on different days.
This week the Ladybird class have had the opportunity to help make pancakes, they had to carefully crack two eggs, pour two cups of milk and tip two cups of flour into the bowl, they then had to whisk all the ingredients together to make a batter which was hard work.
A mixture of lentils and oats were in our messy tray this week.
The Ladybird Class have been very creative this week. They have been creating self-portraits.
This week’s warmer weather saw our garden busy once more! The welcome sunshine meant many children were asking for the mud kitchen to be complimented by the water buts.
This week Ladybird Class have been learning about the different animals that you find at the farm.
