At Thornton Heath Nursery School, shutting due to the heat is not in us.

One of our many community highlights took place this week with our long anticipated International Evening.

With bean, poppy, pumpkin and tomato flowers in full bloom the bumble bees have been as busy as the children of Thornton Heath Nursery School.

This wet week has benefitted our garden massively. After being drenched in sun for two weeks, our beanstalks, sunflowers, strawberries and pumpkin plants were in serious need of the sort of watering only a torrential downpour can provide.

Today, the children of Thornton Heath donned their breeches and tricorn hats.

As we complete the last week of Summer Term 1 the Nursery Setting is at its busiest.

This week we launched our learning with a fun themed day; children came to school dressed as mini-beasts.

Our resident ladybirds are active and adding a further splash of colour to the garden!

This week a group of our animal friends were placed in grave danger.
