On Friday 17th June we’re inviting all parents to ‘Den Day’. Join us at the beginning of your child’s nursery session to unleash their imaginations and transform areas of our nursery into amazing dens. We will be collecting donations to send to the 'Save the Children' charity.
This week, THNS has been home to 10 baby chicks after they hatched from their eggs. We have 4 baby girl chicks and 6 baby boy chicks. The children have been handling them very carefully and watching them grow in their incubator. We've loved looking after our baby chicks!
The children at THNS have been learning about the life cycles of butterflies. We watched as our hungry caterpillars munched their way through their food and then made a chrysalis. A week later the children watched as beautiful butterflies emerged from their cocoons. The children excitedly released their butterflies although some seemed very reluctant to leave!
Last week, our children and families were thrilled to receive their free 'Bookstart' book! The children read 'Don't Call Me Sweet' during our teaching and learning groups and then were all given a free copy to take home.
This week, the children at THNS had a visit from Firefighters from Norbury Fire Station as part of our 'People Who Help Us' week. They all had the chance to sit inside the fire engine, squirt the hose and some children were able to try on some of the firefighters clothes. Please pop into the nursery to see even more photos from this exciting visit!
Our children are fascinated by our two new African snails! We are holding a competition to decide what we should name them, so remember to write your ideas down. Our snails love munching on lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber!

A HUGE well done to the 14 children and families who achieved 100% attendance during the Spring term. This is a real achievement for such young children. We are especially impressed by 3 children and their families, who have managed to have 100% attendance during both the Autumn and Spring terms this academic year! Well done!
