Planting has continued this week! We are locked in a battle with the snails of Thornton Heath, who have found our broad bean plants’ leaves too much to resist.
Another busy week in Thornton Heath Nursery. The children have been looking at the work of Vincent Van Gogh this week, recognising some of his work; from his less known, “The Potato Eaters” to his famous classics.
This week, the ladybird class have been focusing on Maths. The children have been making cakes out of playdough and then counting out the number of candles to show their age, before carefully pushing the candles into their playdough cakes.
The Ladybird class have had lots of new children start since returning after the Easter break which has made our room very busy.
The children of Thornton Heath were as busy as always in the Nursery this week!
This week we welcomed our new friends who have joined the Nursery room having turned 3 years old during the last term.
Lady bird class have finally finished their big build. We have spent last half term making an elephant, the children have used different sized boxes to make the frame of the elephant then they have covered it with papier mache to bulk it out and had to wait for it to dry and go hard.
Our last week of term saw rain and shine and the children were as busy as ever!
