This week, final preparations were made for our Festive Singalong at St Alban’s, our stars were delivered to shine at the Thornton Heath Christmas Tree festival and finishing touches were made to our festive crafts… due for delivery to doting mums, dads and carers next week.
Helen and Maria concocted a bumper bowl of slime which changed state throughout the week. The ingredients reacted throughout the week as little hands, stretched, chopped and experimented with the glittery, oozy mixture.
The water tray had a pump, syringe and pipette focus this week as colourful water was transported between locations and receptacles. The children observed as water swirled “like a tornado” and experimented with corks, pine cones and conkers; do these items float or sink? Do all items of the same type behave the same? How can we check?… An important foundation set for our scientists of the future.
