This week, patterns were in order in group time. The children looked at patterns made by the teachers before constructing their own. Once back in the garden and the nursery room, patterns were being arranged everywhere one looked; from up high on the big climb to down in the mud kitchen where spoons and forks, brushes and chalk were being utilised.
Our Caring Heart display is taking shape, with the children’s hand prints forming an embrace around it. We continue to reflect upon how we support those around us and how they supportĀ us.
In the garden, preparations for our big tomato sale are well underway. The children gently teased apart our bushy tomato plants, each oneĀ the fruit of a tomato squeezing session back in February. Each individual plant was then given its own pot, to allow it to flourish before becoming part of our Nursery fundraising exploits.
Come Friday, it was time to say goodbye to Farmer Jane’s chicks. We cared for them well from egg to chick and they will be missed.
