This week, Thornton Heath Nursery School’s youngest learners have been as busy as ever.
Dry sand and semolina has been pushed and poured, scratched and moved…Providing a flexible resource for touching and pouring; from a mark making tool to a role play resource with “ice-cream” and “pasta” shared out, along with some wonderful “Jollof rice”!
We spoke about how we keep each other happy at school through sharing, listening and using gentle hands.
Small world insects infested the room during the week; counting, sorting and shocking our friends! Do you like insects? With the last day of winter this week, we look forward to the insects hatching and awakening in our lovely school gardens. Will the bumble bees be visiting The Ladybirds next week?
