One of our many community highlights took place this week with our long anticipated International Evening. What better way to share and celebrate the diverse cultures which make up our community than an evening of play, crafting, feasting and laughter. The children and their families contributed favourite dishes and turned out in clothes reflecting their heritage; from Tanzania to Ireland, from Vietnam to the Scottish Highlands. This special evening enables us to discover shared heritage as well as experience and recognise our diversity; forging relationships and helping us all to build upon local networks.
In other news, some accidental digging led to some early beetroot and potato being on the snack time menu. From field to fork in less than hour, “There ain’t nothing fresher!”
