More scientific discovery, number challenges and fine motor eye and muscle work this week; the treasure chest contained a homemade boat! Could the children use the little toy to work out how to make their own? Corks, drawing pins and cocktail sticks were carefully selected and counted before being brought together to form a balanced sail boat.
Once built, the children’s crafts took to the water…but how do you propel a sail boat?…
Another week meant another survey…Shall we have red hot chilli or pumpkin in our spaghetti sauce? Many children were intent on giving Jackie’s red hot chillies a nibble, but after a discussion we agreed nursery was not the place for extreme eating.
