Spring is here! Our seedlings survived the Easter break and have now been planted in our flower beds. Thornton Heath’s eagle eyed snail hunters have been on the case, with some special constables sworn in specially to ensure our plants do not get munched.
Our new mud kitchen and water area is now officially open! With a new all-weather surface and full waterproof clothing and boots we have a zone for pouring, mixing, creating and making a big, beautiful mess! It is a valuable resource, encouraging children to measure, develop coordination and strength and to develop communication skills as they work collaboratively and share the space and resources.
We would like to wish our Muslim friends Eid Mubarak and wish everyone a lovely May Day! Next week, we shall be coming together in the nursery to learn about Ramadan and Eid and the significance they have for our Muslim families.
