From expertly plucking only the ripe tomatoes from our dense canopy of tomato plants, to harvesting the basil whilst carefully moving the resident shield bugs; the children of Thornton Heath Nursery School not only understand from where their food comes from, they have worked hard to grow it and have continued to care for it themselves. They are developing the muscle strength and coordination to combine, squash, knead and roll their own school grown produce…transforming it into their favourite snack time treat.
