This week we launched our learning with a fun themed day; children came to school dressed as mini-beasts. We opened our doors to a spectacular array of beautiful butterflies, dazzling dragonflies, crawling caterpillars, scuttling spiders and a whole host of other magnificent mini-beasts. We were truly astonished by the creativity of our families, who crafted costumes at home using everyday household items — for example, cling film to make translucent wings, holographic wrapping paper for dragonfly wings, and painted stripes on yellow T‑shirts for buzzing bumblebees. It was wonderful to see so many home‑crafted costumes, which the children wore with immense pride.
