This week the children have been learning about the polar regions and two of their most famous residents; polar bears and penguins.
Do you know which animal is found on which pole? Do you know how these animals stay warm in icy conditions? Have you ever applied paint to chunks of ice and observed the results? Our exploration, discussions and role play have developed our knowledge and understanding of the world as THNS prepares the scientists of future.
Some more penguin and polar bear antics to follow next week….with a “p” theme developing… we may look at and practice some letter writing as well as making some food favourites with the same initial sound….something round, cheesy and bubbly….bubble bread Pizza!
