Welcome back!

Welcome back! This week marks our first week back after the holidays, and the nursery has undergone some exciting changes.

We have introduced brand-new furniture throughout the nursery. The furniture is all child-level; creating a fresh, welcoming environment with more space for the children to explore. These changes are designed to support children’s independence by giving them greater choice in deciding what activities they would like to engage in.

As this is a new way of setting up the nursery, some children needed a little reassurance at first, as they are used to having activities already set out for them. Staff were on hand to support and encourage the children, helping them feel confident in making their own choices. Although much of the nursery has changed, there are still areas that are set up as usual, and adult-led activities will continue as part of our daily routine.

We have also had some of our Ladybird children move up to the Big Room. They have settled in very well, and we are delighted to welcome new children who have joined us to take their place. Our returning children have been wonderfully welcoming, helping to model routines and showing the new children how we use the resources in the nursery.
