Today was Odd Sock Day at the nursery and what a wonderful array of socks we saw! Children (and adults) wore odd socks to school and donated an item of non-perishable food to our collection box for the St. Albans Foodbank. Our families have certainly been very kind and generous with their donations and by the end of the day our collection box was so full that we had to stack all of the items collected on to the top of our display unit! We have a mountain of pasta, rice, cereals, biscuits, sauces and tinned foods to deliver to the foodbank this week where it will be used to help support around 100 families in the local community. It is very heart warming to know that so many people in our nursery care about others in the local community, we thank you for your kindness.
