Some of the youngest children in Thornton Heath proudly delivered our Harvest food collection to the St Albans food bank today. With support from their parents our children carried shopping bags laden with rice, pasta, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, cereals and other long lasting foods from the nursery to the church. We were met by Fr. Joshua and Fr. Sean who explained how the food was going to help many families in Thornton Heath who were struggling to buy food for themselves and their children. Our children learnt about community spirit and supporting others that are less fortunate than themselves. We would like to thank everyone who was able to help today and also those of you that donated food. We hope to organise some more events where we can help those in need.
