Every Tuesday morning we open our nursery for a Stay ‘n’ Play session for children aged 0-5 in our local community. Our three Parent Champions Jackie, Annie and Emma work hard to create an exciting, engaging environment for the children who visit. Jackie is a teaching assistant at Thornton Heath Nursery School who is passionate about providing support for the families that visit Stay ‘n’ Play should they need it. Our sessions couldn’t happen without the support of our wonderful volunteers Annie and Emma. They have both completed training through Home Start Croydon and give up their time on a weekly basis to ensure that our Stay ‘n’ Play sessions run smoothly. Annie and Emma both have young children of their own and can relate their own experiences to that of others, they also make a lovely cup of coffee or tea and are always available to listen and chat. The Stay ‘n’ Play sessions are proving to be very popular and we are incredibly proud that we have been able to offer this service to our local community.
