This week Ladybird class have been listening to the story “Walking through the jungle” by Julie Lacome. We have been learning all about animals that live in the jungle. We have been dancing to the song “Down in the jungle….” and making different movements and sounds to represent each animal as they are mentioned in the lyrics. We have been making size comparisons whilst playing with the animals, distinguishing between big and small. The children have had the opportunity to create a jungle in the garden area, helping collect resources such as logs and leaves. The children worked together to carry the heavy logs. We have all worked really hard this week to get our jungle ready for next week when we are going on a jungle expedition—we’ve got our binoculars ready!
