This year we have launched our Gold award initiative which focuses on celebrating successes based around the characteristics of effective learning. Each keyworker has to nominate children from their key group who have consistently demonstrated a positive attitude to their learning. The characteristics of effective learning are broken in to three categories:
Playing and Exploring – Engagement
Active Learning – Motivation
Creative and Critical Thinking – Thinking
To learn well the children must approach opportunities with curiosity, energy and enthusiasm. The key workers found it really difficult to choose only a few children and they are already thinking about who will receive a Gold award next term. Well done to all those that received a certificate for the spring term. .
