Welcome back!

A confident and energised return for some and an exciting new start for others. In both rain and shine this week our children have been boldly exploring our garden with all its apparatus and distinct areas. The indoors has been equally busy, with our new reading room and library a particular success.

The children have settled in with a lightly guided, independent reading session each day to work on book handling skills and to develop talk around illustrations and the stories they know well.  A great start to our New School Year! Next we shall be reading “Oliver’s Vegetables”.

Oliver stays at Granny and Grandad’s house. Their vegetable patch is an amazing place, but you only get chips if you find where the potatoes are growing. Oliver mistakenly picks different vegetables but find he enjoys eating each one. Will Oliver find the potatoes and enjoy his chips? The Nursery children will be taking part in lots of vegetable activities and tasting sessions…will chips be on the menu for them?
