As the weather this week has been so bitterly cold, the children have had the opportunity to participate in a soup making activity. They took turns to cut up a range of vegetables put them into the saucepan then observed as the adult cooked it. The finished soup was given out at snack time and lots of the children really enjoyed it! Cooking with your child is valuable activity as it helps your child to develop fine motor skills, eye hand coordination, an awareness of good food hygiene practices and even early concepts of maths and science.
