Over the last two weeks we have been very excited to welcome ten fertilised chicken eggs to the nursery. The children have been predicting which egg might hatch first and some tally mark surveys were carried out by the children. Then last Thursday egg number seven hatched with the other soon following. The children have been fascinated to watch the pipping and hatching process. This week the children have all had the opportunity to handle the chicks and today we said goodbye to them as they were taken back to the farm. This has been a very interesting and informative experience for the children.
