Today was national “Wear a Hat” day and the children at Thornton Heath Nursery School embraced this with style whilst donating an item of food for the St. Alban’s Foodbank. Many of our parents had worked hard at home with their children and had created Easter hats to wear which we really weren’t anticipating. We have some very creative families!! Once again we were overwhelmed by the generosity of our families. This afternoon a team of staff from the nursery carried thirteen bags of food items to the church. When we arrived we were told that our donations had “answered our prayers” as the shelves at the Foodbank had been depleted the previous day by an increased number of families needing support.
We were also asked to pass on a huge “thank you” to all of the families at Thornton Heath Nursery School for their continued support. What a wonderful way to finish the spring term.
