To mark the official “first day of spring” we held a spring creativity event last week. Parents, carers and other family members joined the children at the nursery for a fun filled session where they had the opportunity to create some spring / Easter themed crafts. Wooden decorations were painted, polystyrene eggs glittered and yellow playdough was moulded in to chicks and chickens with googly eyes!! Spring flowers were created from strips of paper, pictures were adorned using dots created by dipping little fingers in to paint and yellow paper was added to paper plates to create chick masks. The sun was shining and the outdoor area provided opportunity for a sack race and an egg “n” spoon race. As you can see from the photos some of our parents got very competitive! It is hard to tell whether the parents or the children had the most fun!
