This week the children in Ladybird class have been creating works of art using sponges, scrubbing brushes and paint. They they enjoyed exploring the texture of their mark making implements using language such as spiky and soft to describe the different textures. They used their fine motor skills to hold the brush, dip it in the paint and dab it along the paper to make a printed pattern. The children were able to recognise the colours that they used and also experimented by mixing the colours together.
