This week ladybird class decorated biscuits. Fine motor skills were on show and working hard as the children spread icing over their biscuits, they then added a small amount of food colouring with a cocktail stick and used this to make swirly patterns in the icing. The children had to be very careful when using the cocktail sticks as they are very sharp on the ends. The children needed no reminders of hygiene routines; washing and drying hands before cooking or eating! They listened and followed simple instructions and waited patiently for their turn. The biscuits were put in the fridge to set. When the icing had set the children took their biscuits home.
The children have continued to do lots of Christmas crafts throughout the week along with lots of learning. The children and staff all looked amazing in their Christmas jumpers and it was nice to hear everybody commenting on what they could see on the jumpers.
