This week, we have been reading a new favourite, “Julian is a Mermaid” by Jessica Love. Carrying on the maritime theme the children have been singing “Once I caught a fish alive!”, painting fish and even catching them. We have also been talking about piranhas…next week we shall be asking in our mark making survey, “Would you swim with a piranha?”

We have also started having “tech time” at nursery. The children are given the opportunity to investigate one of our many programmable, electronic toys in a small, focused group.
This week and next, the children will be practising controlling electronic vehicles, developing their skills before moving on to programming robots and utilising related programmes on the interactive whiteboards as the term progresses.
