The first week back in Nursery means welcoming back old friends and making new ones, as children join our community for their Nursery year! The children brought the heat with them, so cooling off in paddle pools, artificial beaches and misty spray showers has been the order of the week.
Our sunflowers, pumpkins, raspberries, beans and dill have thrived all summer and our planting area is looking more like the Amazon…meaning, as always, the children of Thornton Heath Nursery School are its intrepid explorers!
New friendships are being forged as children find their feet and explore all that THNS has to offer. Sharing multi-sensory experiences inside and out means children create bonds; sharing humour and fun as well as the many challenges set before them!
Next week, we shall be cooking and sharing the vegetables grown in our garden…some of which have grown to giant proportions!
