Ladybird class have continued with their “Walking through the jungle” book this week.
The children have been learning through lots of different jungle themed activities. They have been making marks to represent the number of animals they have counted, taking great care with their pencil control. They were also challenged to follow a pattern with their mark making, creating zig-zag lines and swirls. To develop creative skills and enhance knowledge of colour the children have decorated animal masks using collage materials carefully glued to a mask template. To develop our listening skills we have listened intently to the sound that different jungle animals make and have tried to identify which animal made each sound. We even had a go at copying the sound the animals made using a voices to make loud and soft noises. ROAR!!!
